I did not mention the extra effort on #1215. Whether you tell the customer about it is your decision.
When this helps
The customer asks for the current status. The answer is spread across twenty issues, in comments and in internal language that nobody outside the team understands. By the time it has become three clear paragraphs, half an hour is gone.
